Featuring influential musicians, like Blind Roosevelt Graves and Jimmy Buffett, Jam Session celebrates Hattiesburg, MS’s rich musical legacy, highlighting the city’s role in the development of American music genres such as rock and roll, blues, and jazz. By integrating vivid imagery and historical references, the mural reclaims and honors the city’s cultural heritage while inspiring future generations of artists. The project is number 51 of Hattiesburg’s initiative to become a city of 100 murals, fostering community pride and storytelling.
