PHASE I
The larger-than-life painting showcases a diverse representation that spans age, ethnicity, and notoriety while focusing on a few of the many things Jackson is known for: civil rights history, literature, performance arts, and music. Its intended purpose is to serve as a tourism and economic driver and to broaden the public art landscape of Jackson, MS.

PHASE II
As a follow up to the JXN Icons mural, this art installation sought to expand the list of icons/culture bearers in the City of Jackson, in the form of a uniquely constructed art gallery. The now deconstructed gallery takes the form of seven individual large-scale portraits that have been installed in key institutions throughout the city, including a permanent exhibit in the Smith-Robertson Museum & Cultural Center, featuring Civil Rights Icons James Meredith, Hezekiah Watkins, & Richard Wright.
